EDUCATION PROGRAM

The program's activities are all appropriate to the ages and development of the children served. The activities are planned around the interests and individual needs of each child. The content of the curriculum will include social/emotional, cognitive, language, and motor skills. There will be a scheduled routine with sufficient flexibility and time for unscheduled learning opportunities. Throughout the day there will be a variety of activities such as art, music and science along with opportunities to explore cultural, social and individual diversity. The children will have at least sixty (60) minutes of physical activity each day and also learn about good health, nutrition and personal safety. At least half of the day will consist of free play where they will have the choice to play alone or with peers, which will foster their communication skills. The children will also have opportunities to learn age appropriate self-help skills and develop independence. Adequate time will be allowed for transitions and alternate activities will be planned in the event that one fails, or does not interest the group.
